M.C. Williams is the mystery pen name
for Caroline Donahue
Ever since I was little, my family has loved a good mystery. In fact, my grandmother Esther’s preferred exclamation when swearing was “Oh Murder!”
Had I changed my name when I got married, my name would be
Caroline McWilliams. Sitting up in bed recently, plowing through another Donna Leon novel, it struck me that M.C. Williams was the perfect mystery author name.
And so here we are.
My character, Iris Drake, has emerged with force and urgency and she is about to be chucked into a crime scene, but she doesn’t know that yet.
